The Esplanade runs from the heart of Maroochydore all the way to the core of Mooloolaba.

If walking, it should take approximately two hours. However give yourself more time as something is sure to catch your eye and you will want to stop and observe.

The path is relatively flat all the way so even if you are not that active you should manage the walk. The Esplanade offers some great views of the Maroochydore River and beach.

The Esplanade takes you past Maroochydore Surf Club, Alexandra Surf Club and other cafés, restaurants and bars, so stopping off to get a drink or a bite to eat is a good idea.

Along the Esplanade there are areas of large lawns or grass land for people to rest and play. Along the way are work out stations for the fitness people and children's play areas for the children. The Esplanade is great for a run or for a fast walk to keep you fit and healthy, its path always has runners and walkers along its length keeping themselves slim and trim. You can also ride a bike along here, as you do you will glide past couples holding hands and dog walkers.

Showers are strategically positioned to rid yourself of the beach sand if you have just visited the beach, and there are also water fountains so you can quench your thirst.

Some areas are shaded but do take some sunscreen as the Esplanade is largely open allowing the sun's rays through. Ride a bike, run, walk, sunbathe, do it all along the Esplanade.
