Built in 1878, in the historic town on Queenscliff, The Esplanade Hotel has undergone substantial renovations in recent years. Only minutes from the water and offering lovely panoramic views from the second floor balcony, this pub is the perfect way to spend a summers day.
The bistro has an extensive menu including a range of fresh seafood. Choose from calamari, flathead, snapper, king prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, and changing specials including oysters. For those who can't decide, why not order the seafood platter which offers a range of seafood for two.
Another favourite is the tender Indian lamb curry, a well known dish that is popular with the locals.
There is also a large deck out the back with wooden tables to relax and enjoy the sunshine and a sandpit to keep the kids entertained. The hotel also has a sports bar with cheap priced bar meals, TAB facilities and a pokies room. There is often live music from local artists on a Saturday night.
The owners are currently in the process of renovating the upper level to provide accommodation.
