Explore Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI)

On Wednesday, 27th April 2016, City of Holdfast Bay are hosting two workshops from The EMU Tree at Brighton Community Centre.

The EMU Tree's workshops are recommended for young people aged 12-25 years old who are interested in learning about song writing, recording and music technology. Details are as follows:

Workshop 1 (9am-12pm) - Introduction to Music Technology Workshop
Students will collaborate in pairs to explore Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI), digital composition and editing. Students will receive a digital copy of their produced work to take home.

Workshop 2 (1pm-4pm) - Introduction to Songwriting and Recording Workshop
This workshop provides an introduction to the process with demonstrations of various techniques of multi-track recording and approaches to song writing.
