The gardens are stunningly tranquil and feature many bonsai masterpieces, Water Pavilion, Twin Pavilion, The Gurr, Peaceboat Pavilion and Hall of Longevity. A loop of the garden can be taken by following the paths and stairs, while a route for prams and wheelchairs can be accessed by crossing the zig-zag bridge.

Take the time to stop, sit and admire - it is so peaceful. You forget you are in the heart of Sydney CBD. Or enjoy a tea or cold beverage at the Tea House, where the seating by the lake beckons. The Emporer's Quest is an engaging way for kids to learn about the Chinese zodiac, how it came about and Chinese folklore and will take about 30 minutes to complete. However, if you wish to delve deeper into the ancient world of the Chinese zodiac, you will need much longer with so much to learn.
