The Elevate Festival's focus is on sustaining our relationships with community, families and ourselves through the seasons. The festival is linked to Neighbour Day, Australia's largest annual celebration of community, and as such, will feature workshops and a lineup of entertainers that embody the spirit of the day.
Canadian reggae legends and Elevate headliners Tasman Jude look forward to entertaining the crowd and catching up with their musical friends the Germein Sisters, who will be holding a special Meet and Greet CD signing on the day.
"Tasman Jude values creating community, caring for the environment and they are incredibly family focused and family friendly," says Ms Germein. "The audience will find it hard to resist dancing to their infectious tunes."
The official launch of the Elevate Film Competition will also be announced at the festival. The theme of this year's competition is "Our Neighbours" and filmmakers of all ages and levels are invited to participate.
A free workshop will also be offered on the day, covering filmmaking basics, tips and tricks and more information about the film competition and how to get involved. The Elevate Film Festival is part of Neighbour Day celebrations which occur every year on the last Sunday of March.
