Check out the FREE courses at The Edge
Do you know about The Edge?
"Conceived as a model for the library of the future, The Edge, launched by State Library of Queensland (SLQ) in 2010, is at the forefront of re-imagining libraries for the 21st century.Your text goes here" so their website reports.
It is a place for those who are creative, with a number of venues for meetings and functions, to spots where you can meet with your creative friends socially or attend some of the FREE courses/classes on offer. Most of the courses are free, however for some there is a fee attached.
The Edge has free, creative short courses for the SEQ community in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and WordPress, plus others like Podcasting and Music Production.
The next round of courses will be released on Tuesday 19 July for courses running in Aug & Sep. Often the free courses sell out within 48 hours, so, make a note in your diary to check The Edge website and make your booking as soon as the course details are released.
It is something special for Queenslanders - so don't forget to explore their website, or better still go to The Edge, which is on the Art Gallery side of the State Library.
