Gettin' Classy At A Pub
If you're looking for a pub in the Adelaide CBD where casual is 'in', then the Ed Castle would be an apt place to go to, whether it's with your special someone, a bunch of uni mates or even a mini family gathering.

The Ed Castle on Currie Street is a laid-back pub with an eye-catching decor and architecture that incorporates a variety of pop culture in its little dwelling.

Located towards the West End part of Adelaide, the Ed Castle is a popular hang out spot, no matter what time of the day or night.

The place is a big hit with their famous $10 menu (that is available for lunch and dinner meals)!

A couple of friends and I decided to spend a lovely Wednesday afternoon at this welcoming place by taking full advantage of their mouth-watering menu.

The orders that were placed by us included chicken schnitzels with mushroom gravy and parmigiana gravy, and a chicken and chargrilled vegetable burger.

Now re-read the above sentence. How delicious does that sound?

Apart from their food, the Ed Castle is the perfect place to have those knock-off drinks after a long, hard day at work. And if you're a uni student, then I'd highly recommend you to get your hands on a Pokitpal booklet that guarantees you $5 base spirits and $10 jugs of beer, all day, everyday till 9pm.

Their front bar is well-equipped with almost all the possible forms of alcohol you can think of - and being surrounded by their helpful and hospitable staff only makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

There are two indoor dining areas and a beer garden out the back, for those with smoking needs. Each area is beautifully decorated with posters of epic movies from the early 70s to the late 90s, and musicians from the early 60s adorn the big dining area where the kitchen is situated. So make sure you take turns in each of these locations and marvel at their intricate artistic form with which the rooms are set up!

The Ed Castle is a place that enjoys the entertainment of live bands and gigs, while Saturday nights are big at the Ed, with 2-for-1 drinks and a club-like atmosphere is produced.

Lastly, I'd highly suggest y'all to notice the menu cover photo, for that is what made my day - I had never seen it before, so it appeared to be pretty hilarious to me.

This is one of the most chilled out and fresh places that is slowly gaining ground among the Adelaide crowd, so get on it, and savour the Ed Castle experience.
