The Dragon Inn Restaurant
I love Chinese food. It's good, fast, and in my favourite price range. Sometimes I come across a place worth mentioning, and I just did. So here it is.
I love that this place, the Dragon Inn in Durham, North Carolina, uses high quality chicken and cuts it thinly in a fusion between classic Chinese style and American style. It's really good. When in the Carolinas, eat like the Carolinans do. You won't be sorry.
My guy got the authentic Chinese kung pao chicken. It didn't have any vegetables. The spices were unique to an American palate.

Authentic Chinese Kung Pao dish
The chicken fried rice was super fresh. All ingredients were very good.
The tea was average. The fortune cookies had a light almond or vanilla flavour. It was a nice touch.

I liked the style of this simple, tasteful place. It was distinctively Chinese, but approachable to the Western mind. In other words, it was comfortably different.

Simple, tasteful interior
It was quiet inside. Subtle forties era tunes in the background felt romantic. Service was exceptional. I will definitely seek this place out next time I'm in the Triangle.
