Fine dining and fantastic harbour views
The Park Hyatt Hotel Sydney offers "Fine dining with the best view in Sydney.'' This is what you get while enjoying a delicious lunch or dinner at this iconic hotel. Set in the most idyllic position at Circular Quay, looking across the harbour at the Opera House, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the ferries arriving.
My friend and I went for a special birthday celebration and found the menu exciting. We both liked crab, we each ordered Marinated snow crab salad. It was served with cucumber textoures, creme fraiche and apple & finger lime. This dish was delicious with succulent crab and had a good mixture of flavours.
What a treat to dine in such splendour with fabulous food and views. At night, if you go for dinner, the Opera House is all lit up and looks like a fairy tale castle. Try to get a window seat when you book as it just adds that extra bit of magic.
For main course, I choose Cone Bay barramundi with chorizo & kale cracker, glazed pak choi and yuzu beurre blanc. The fish was so fresh, tasty and tender. Cone Bay barramundi is known for being the best in Australia and it lived up to its reputation.
As Sydneysiders, we are so fortunate to enjoy some of the best food in the world. The cuisine here has become well known internationally. This is due to a mixture of cultures that have brought their cuisine to our beautiful city. We also have some of the best hospitality training colleges in the world in Sydney.

The desserts were very varied and all tempting. My friend chose the Raspberry and tonka cheesecake. Raspberries are my favourite summer berry. They are so often used in desserts because of their unique rich sweet tang. This dessert had all these aspects and was delicious.
On this occasion, while dining at the Park Hyatt Hotel, it was to celebrate a birthday for two. Both birthdays are in the same month. When the management realised this, they went to a lot of trouble to make the night special. I was so impressed by them it has made me want to dine there again.
I am lactose intolerant so they brought a variety of sorbets decorated with candles to the table. These were 'on the house' - one was even decorated with chocolate.
Next time you have a special occasion to celebrate, or you just want a fine dining experience, try The Park Hyatt. You will not be sorry - it"s special.
