Drew Anthony Creative proudly presents the internationally acclaimed stage adaptation of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK for the first time in Western Australia!

This deeply moving play, based on Anne Frank’s extraordinary diary, is regarded as one of the most poignant stories of the 20th century and comes to life at the State Theatre Centre of WA for a strictly limited season. Tickets are now on sale.

THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play, is the remarkable true story of Anne Frank, a young girl hiding with her family in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam during World War II. The play invites audiences into the secret annex where Anne and her family lived in hiding during World War II and offers an intimate window into the challenges, fears, and small triumphs of life in hiding.

Producer/Director Drew Anthony says: "I'm excited to be bringing THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK to Perth. Performances will be held during the April school holidays giving families the chance to see this extraordinary true story brought to life onstage at the wonderful Heath Ledger Theatre. I have just returned from Europe where I visited the Attic, in Amsterdam, where Anne did all of her writings while hiding with her family. I also visited other locations (Westerbork and Auschwitz) where Anne spent time during her unimaginable final months. This trip has certainly inspired a unique creative design for this production and provided plenty of background and perspective to share with the actors as we prepare this important theatre experience."
