It's great to start the day with a brisk walk along a sandy "Sunshine Beach" with the surf rolling in as you burn off a few calories and work up an appetite for a healthy meal or super healthy smoothie.

If you're really relaxed about this, you can swim first, slip on a T-Shirt or throw-over, coupled with joggers or thongs and head across the road to The Deck.



Dressed up or dressed down, it doesn't matter, anything goes in this relaxed cafe.

There's an atmosphere with a restaurant or cafe breakfast that is so different from the rest of the day. It's the freshness and energy of the new day, especially when the sun is shining and the ocean glistens.

Friends greet each other with a sense of joy. People bring their kids and dogs, and it's generally a hive of activity with a real village feel to it.

The Deck is poised high above the footpath. It is here that you are seated under canvas umbrellas, soaking up the morning warmth, overlooking the Pandanas trees and gazing out to the ocean.



We regularly have breakfast at The Deck at Sunshine Beach when we visit Noosa because we love the location, the atmosphere and the food.

Much of the produce is locally sourced and there's a leaning towards 'healthy'. That's evident when you see the menu. Fresh juices and smoothies are offered, but you can also add extras like spirulina, goji berries, or protein powder if you're a superfood devotee. There are some great gluten free, vegetarian and vegan offerings too. Having said that, those who consider themselves 'normal' are also very nicely catered for.



The All Day Breakfast includes a wide range of muffins, breads, bagels, pancakes and croissants. There are several 'eggs' choices, mushrooms, corn fritters, and smoked salmon.



Lunch (see menu ), which is served from 11 am, has a great selection of sandwiches, meals, salads and burgers.

BYO? Of course! There's not even a corkage charge and the local bottle shop will offer you a 10% discount for the purchases you're taking to The Deck.
