'Overseas' to Bribie Island to relax and unwind at The Deck
Looking for somewhere a little different than your own stomping grounds for breakfast? How about 'overseas' at Bribie Island? About 45 minutes north of Brisbane and takes you away from the hustle and bustle to somewhere you can relax and unwind.

We took a drive to Bribie and ended up at The Deck Bistro, which is at the Pacific Harbour Golf Course. It has a very relaxed atmosphere overlooking the golf course and water features amidst lush native gardens. An ideal and perfect spot for a Sunday breakfast.

The Deck Bistro offers spacious indoor and outdoor on the deck seating and is open seven days a week for lunch, but only open for breakfast on Sundays.

I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my two boys on Sunday here at The Deck Bistro.

My two boys ordered the Big Breakfast for $18 (Bacon, chipolatas, eggs, hash browns, grilled tomato, baked beans, mushrooms on grilled sourdough). It looked like the breakfast for champions.

I choose something a little to my liking, Smashed Avo on sourdough with two poached eggs ($15).

Service was good and our coffees came as ordered, nice and hot for my husband and iced for my son. I savoured the soy chai latte.

The meals were thoroughly enjoyed and very generous. My son had trouble finishing his.

So after we were fuelled up, we were able to go an explore other parts of Bribie Island. You could even add in a round of golf if you are keen. Bribie Island is certainly worth a weekend day trip from Brisbane with its many relaxed beaches and outdoor walks and activities. We are lucky that it's on our doorstep.
