Take a journey to Glebe and you will discover a slice of Turkey right around the corner. The Cushion House is the home of authentic Turkish food and is the place to dine if you really want to experience what real Turkish food has to offer. Ranging from rose Turkish delight, to steaming fresh Turkish bread and more, you are bound to find something that tickles your fancy. Even if you have never tasted Turkish food in your life- nothing on the menu could possibly disappoint. Serving sizes for the meals here are quite generous, so you can bet that you are definitely getting your money's worth of food. So deciding what you want from their extensive range of authentic Turkish food is probably the hardest part.

Vegetarians can rest assure that there are plenty of delicious vegetarian-friendly options on the menu. My personal favourite is the Spinach and Mushroom pide which is Turkish bread stuffed with a generous amount of spinach, mushroom, tomato, onion and cheese topped with a handful of freshly chopped herbs. Pides make a fantastic meal to share with friends and family since they are served in very large portions. If you're not up for a big meal, try one of their delicious appetisers. For only $4 you can enjoy a freshly baked basket of garlic bread.

Personal Favorite: Spinach and Mushroom Pide

What I absolutely love about this place is that everything is made upon order and yes, by everything I mean the Turkish bread as well. I admit that it takes a while for your food to arrive, but I guarantee you it is worth the wait once you see your steaming fresh bread arrive at your table.

Steaming Fresh Turkish Bread

Not only is the food here a fantastic reflection of what Turkish food has to offer, but the restaurant itself encapsulates a part of Turkish culture through the stunning interior design. While you eat, you can indulge in the lively Turkish music playing in the background and really immerse yourself in the culture. In my personal opinion, eating here is like taking a trip to Turkey, without the hassle of actually leaving the country.

Stunning Turkish Interior

If you truly want to experience authentic Turkish cuisine, you should definitely add The Cushion House as one of your restaurants to visit this weekend. With a fantastic range of delicious and fresh Turkish food, The Cushion House is definitely the place to come for a rich cultural dining experience.
