The trendy 'Corridor' in Newtown has a laid-back vibe, but it's also dark and mysterious. The place does live up to its name too; it is long and narrow, like a large corridor. It's located on bustling King Street. You'll know when you are close because you can smell the exotic mulled wine a few doors down.
But the hero of this place has to be their immaculate cocktails. Highly recommend is the 'Plum Pisco Sour' (pictured), which is served with a sweet cherry on top. Equally as arousing is the 'Blood and Sand' (pictured), and they make a strong 'Dark and Stormy'. The cocktails here are not overly sweet, which is great for those who truly appreciate fine spirits.
The Corridor's Plum Pisco Sour and The Blood and Sand
The Corridor is famous for its happy hour, held on weeknights between 5pm and 7pm. With $10 cocktails and $5 pints, you can see why the place fills up fast. For this reason, it does get noisy and can be difficult to find a seat.
If you are feeling peckish or need something to slow down the effect of the booze, try their superb Arancini balls. For those with an appetite, their big burgers are sure to satisfy.
They have unisex facilities. Head upstairs to find intimate outdoor seating, suitable for groups. See their website for live band nights.
