Opt for a fresh juice or smoothie to start the day right
Summer days bring about intense cravings for fresh fruit, juices, smoothies and overall healthier food alternatives. The Cooks Pantry in Grange is the perfect place to visit any day of the week for a nourishing and vibrant breakfast, lunch or freshly squeezed juice.
The space boasts vibrancy, as you step inside this cute eatery that's filled with natural light, adorned with basketry, mismatched chairs and wooden features to create a clean and raw design. The walls are embellished with chalkboards to highlight the menu items that are freshly made and intensely appetizing. I really took a liking to the menu, as I could evidently see the effort in how the chefs incorporate natural and organic ingredients through their meals. From house made focaccia, vegetarian and vegan options, gluten free and more, you'll be sure to find something to suit.
I also favoured that you can purchase grocery items from The Cooks Pantry, such as locally made olive oil, raw and organic honey, spices, and more. A great way to showcase healthy eating and local ingredients that anyone can use at anytime.
I stopped by this place on the hunt for a freshly squeezed juice, as it was a warm day and I was walking along the beach. I passed by another cafe in Grange, however, I wasn't fond of their bottled juice options. I ventured further down and onto the streets of Grange to find what I was looking for. There it was, The Cooks Pantry. I could immediately tell that this place would offer juices and healthier alternatives through the culture and style that bustled and buzzed inside and out.
A great variety of juices and smoothies were available, although I assume they'd be happy to create a combination you're specifically after if you're not too keen on what's on offer. I opted for the Veggie Boost; a delicious and fresh combination of freshly juiced beetroots, celery, apple, ginger and lemon. I love beetroot, ginger and lemon in juice, so this was an immediate winner. It truly was refreshing and quenched my thirst as well as my cravings.
My partner ordered a home made iced- coffee and a goji ball; a clean and raw protein styled chocolate ball that's filled with an array of nutritious ingredients. I had a little taste, and it was sweet enough to satisfy my demanding sweet tooth. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area that overlooked the popular Jetty Street that leads onto Grange Beach.
Overall, I'm sure I'll be back to try their food and clean desserts when I'm in the area again. I really developed a liking to The Cooks Pantry, and definitely admire the menu choices that are not only good for you, but made fresh on site. It's places like The Cooks Pantry, that make me trusting of what's on my plate and what I'm eating; a stress free dining experience to be had by all. It's no doubt that this special place is a great option for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a quick juice and coffee. The Cooks Pantry also offers cooking classes for those wanting to gain new skills in the kitchen, whilst learning about organic produce through wholesome foods and culturally inspired recipes.
