The 7-Eleven Australia and Melbourne Food & Wine Festival team are bringing it! An unforgettable pop-up from Fri 20 to Sun 29 March 2020 from 8am to 6pm each day. The Convenient Store will be at the new home of MFWF, the Queen Victoria Market, corner of Queen and Victoria Streets, Melbourne. It's going to be curated convenience at its finest befitting the event. The Convenient Store is CASHLESS; please bring your credit/debit card to make a purchase. This is a FREE event with no tickets required to be booked.

Curated by the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, this is a must-visit experience. You can still get your caffeine fix at the pop-up store with 7-Eleven's special edition 100% Australian grown and roasted coffee blend for their famous $1 offer. Coffee lovers, drink up! All proceeds from coffee sales will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal who desperately still need our help for ongoing re-stabilisation of a community. You're welcome to choose a sustainable option with BYO cups for your coffee, and visitors can also recycle any single-use cups in the Simply Cups recycling unit.

New on the horizon, an exclusive fried rice style Chicken Onigiri you can try, plus an early release of the brand's soon to be launched Vegan Mushroom Onigiri. Also, brand new, the H2coco Slurpee in Coconut and Coconut Berry will also feature. This is going to be The Convenient Store on steroids kinda experience so come along and experience the 7-Eleven's clean-eyed edit of mostly Victorian food and drink as never before. Mixing the high and the low, there's merchandise from local and visiting food and drink luminaries including Supernormal, Gelato Messina, Lune Croissanterie and Baker Bleu, just to name a few.

Enjoy a selection of limited-edition snacks in collaboration with leading Melbourne chefs and restaurants, including:

  • Supernormal's Convenient katsu sando

  • Supernormal's Convenient egg sando with yuzu kosho mayo

  • The Convenient Motherlode: an epic Italian-influenced sandwich loaded with cold cuts and cheese from every single deli at Queen Victoria Market's Dairy Hall

  • Lune Croissanterie's cheese and Vegemite scroll

  • Baker Bleu's olive, feta and walnut stirato

  • Falco Bakery pop-tarts

  • Convenient jam-doughnut ice-cream

  • The Calamity Jane: Beatrix's tribute to the Wagon Wheel

  • That's the Way the Violet Crumbles: Gelato Messina's tribute to Australia's favourite chocolate-covered honeycomb bar

The Convenient Store will also stock wine from Gippsland, the High Country and beyond as well as beers from Brick Lane, gin from Supernormal, plus cocktails from The Everleigh and Bar Americano. This event really pushes the boundaries of what convenience can be for the Australian consumer.

Eat, drink, shop and hang, it's curated convenience at its finest beyond the classic favourites, though those fantastic options in those categories still remain. While you're already there at the QVM during this timeframe, be sure to check out their other events like the ultimate chip party, some A-grade Aussie red meat, a Sichuan affair, a few curly questions, a 100% animal-free jungle, a big spaghetti moment with the lovely Matt Preston and Sam Pang, and the big pow-wow with the likes of author and activist Bruce Pascoe and Indigenous educator Noel Butler, plus Attica chef and restaurateur Ben Shewry.
