Whether you are a Shakespearean expert or not, you will certainly not be disappointed with Lane Cove Theatre Company's
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). Part parody, part tribute, and part party trick, this performance will have you laughing out loud and cringing in equal measure!

In just 97 minutes, the audience were shown all 37 histories, comedies, and tragedies of William Shakespeare plays.
The history plays transformed into a game of football, the comedies were not anywhere near as funny as the tragedies, all sixteen condensed into 'Four Weddings and a Transvestite', Othello performed in rap, and Titus Andronicus became a TV cookery programme.

The finale featured Hamlet, which was staged first as a psychological exploration of Hamlet's Ego and Ophelia's Id. Then it was performed in a matter of minutes and then played backwards.

The play was extraordinarily fatuous and certainly delivered an evening of laughter and engagement.
It was a bold move to jam every single Shakespearean play into two acts, however, Lane Cove Theatre Company and Director Jess Davis mastered this. The cast of three brilliant and multi-talented performers, Logan (Logan McArthur), Eleanor (Eleanor Petricevic), and Luke (Luke W. Shepherd) did a stellar performance and executed the play with excellence.

The performance engaged with the audience and even got a couple of audience members onto the stage to help out the cast!
Overall, the play performed with such speed, yet it was ludicrously amusing, and an absolute must-see!
Tickets can be purchased online or at the Box Office.
