Experience the magic of high tea
Tea houses are a celebrated part of many cultures. Historically, they provided a place where people could go to sample sumptuous treats, sip on exotic teas and immerse themselves in great company and conversation. Fortunately, some things never go out of style. The Cobble Stone Tea House captures the essence of this fashionable pastime and brings with it a world of indulgent culinary pleasures.

Front Counter
This is the perfect place to spend a leisurely afternoon feasting on tasty treats.

It is hard to say where exactly the magic of this tea house comes from. It could be the sense of history that pervades this special activity; the love, attention and detail that goes into every aspect of the tea house or the elegant and inviting décor that beckons you the moment you walk through the doors. Whichever of these it is, The Cobble Stone Tea House will transport you to a place of delightful decadence with its old worldly charm.

Room for High Tea
This inviting tea room offers culinary pleasures that are sure to delight.

The tea house offers a smorgasbord of tasty treats fit for any occasion and every tastebud. A combination of imagination and experimentation in the kitchen culminates in unique edible delights, which are guaranteed to trigger nostalgic memories of childhood favourites. With multiple high tea experiences on offer you simply have to pick the option that sounds most appealing. Regardless of what you choose you will be delighted with the result.

Beginning at the pinnacle of the high tea experience is the Luxurious High Tea ($49pp). This festive feast offers an assortment of canapés, ribbon sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, petit fours and a selection of chocolate delicacies. The Indulgent High Tea ($39pp) is similar to this with the exclusion of the sweet chocolate treats. Instead you will receive individual mini desserts. You can choose to accompany these spreads with tea or Aromas's Satine Blend espresso coffee.

Teacup and Saucer
Tea is served in locally sourced antique cups and saucers.

For a novelty morning why not try their special Breakfast High Tea ($29pp)? This morning indulgence offers you the decadence of a high tea along with the substantial requirements of an early meal. It includes roast vegetable frittatas, Danishes, mini croissants, and natural yoghurt served with local honey and seasonal fruit. I simply cannot think of a more delightful way to start the day. There is also a Kid's High Tea ($18pp) available for the little ones.

Bookings are essential for these high tea experiences in order to provide you with the freshest food possible and to avoid wastage. Alternatively, the tea house offers a limited walk-in menu to cater to spontaneous outings. Scones are baked fresh every day for a simple yet delicious treat. You can also choose from the selection of lovely cakes on display. Gluten-free and vegan options are also prepared for those with special dietary requirements.

Tea Selection
Tempt yourself with a selection of fine teas from around the world.

The multi-cultural selection of tea available is another feature of this cafe. With 30 varieties on offer, you can travel from South Africa to England and then onto China in one afternoon. They have the more familiar kinds while also including some exotic teas for the more adventurous. I sampled the Sassafras Blend which is a combination of black and green tea. This delightful mix was infused with the fresh flavours of mango and peach.

Due to brilliant timing, I was lucky enough to try a strawberry and white chocolate muffin straight from the oven. It was simply divine. I have never tasted a more delicious muffin. The beautifully rich, melt in your mouth chocolate was perfectly balanced by the fresh, vibrant strawberries. Inside it was light and fluffy while still being soft and moist. It also had an ever so slightly crispy exterior that you only ever get when something is freshly baked.
