More than a Market
If you're looking for something different, quirky, unique - look no further than The Coal Loader Artisans Market.

Held in the grounds of the historic Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton, the Artisans Market boasts over 70 market stalls selling original and creative handmade products directly from some of Sydney's best contemporary designers, artists and makers. You'll find art, sculpture, ceramics, basketry, paper-making, sustainable design and fashion, wool creations, textiles, jewellery, accessories, children's goods and much more.

And if your hunger for shopping is matched by a hunger for food, there are some fab food stalls dotted around the market to satisfy your appetite.

As well as enjoying the market, take some time to look around the grounds which been transformed from an industrial facility into a leading sustainability centre. Enjoy the community garden with its organic vegetables, composting systems and worm farms and the community nursery which protects and rehabilitates the local bushland. There is also an Aboriginal bush foods garden and some amazing thousands of years old Aboriginal rock engravings to look at.

The foreshore park and walks offer a lovely spot for a picnic and bush walk and you can also explore one of the 160m tunnels of the historical coal loading system, sensor lights lighting the way as you walk through the tunnel.

So much more than a market, The Coal Loader Artisans Market offers a fun-filled full day out for the whole family.
