Held in the grounds of the historic Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton, the Artisans Market boasts over 70 market stalls selling original and creative handmade products directly from some of Sydney's best contemporary designers, artists and makers. You'll find art, sculpture, ceramics, basketry, paper-making, sustainable design and fashion, wool creations, textiles, jewellery, accessories, children's goods and much more.
And if your hunger for shopping is matched by a hunger for food, there are some fab food stalls dotted around the market to satisfy your appetite.
As well as enjoying the market, take some time to look around the grounds which been transformed from an industrial facility into a leading sustainability centre. Enjoy the community garden with its organic vegetables, composting systems and worm farms and the community nursery which protects and rehabilitates the local bushland.
