I recently discovered The Cliffhanger Cafe while on a special Porsche tour and lunch driving day with Cliff to Coast . This unique cafe is perched on the edge of cliffs, enjoying uninterrupted views of the breathtaking Illawarra coastline. Easily missed if you don't continue past the first Bulli Lookout restaurant.

When you turn off, you continue down the laneway where you will come across a car park. Then walk through a short pathway to the restaurant.

The Cliffhanger is centrally located, less than 30 Minutes drive from Campbelltown, Wollongong or the Sutherland Shire. When you arrive, you will enjoy an oasis of calm nestled against the stunning blue scenic backdrop of sky and ocean. Well worth the drive to Bulli Lookout to see such an outstanding view. Over 1000 ft above sea level, your eyes can stretch out for miles along the pristine coastline.

The interior is sparse allowing you to appreciate the full impact of the view. Our table was ideal for taking in the view.

The simple lunch menu consists of sandwiches, pies, burgers, fish and chips, Schnitzels and a couple of mains. The staff welcomed us warmly explaining to keep in mind that the servings are quite large. If bringing young ones, they can choose from the Children's menu .

We had all been driving Porsches all morning as part of the Cliff to Coast Porsche Tour day and had built up quite an appetite.

I was thrilled to see my Chicken Cliffhanger Burger $19.90. The other dishes looked amazing too.

The Chicken Caesar had large tender chargrilled chicken pieces and looked like it could easily feed two people.

Seriously huge Sandwiches! $12.00, good value and perfect for sharing.

You can't beat a good Cliffhanger Pie, house-made, filled with prime rump steak, mashed potato, peas and
beef gravy. $25.40

This cafe is also full licensed. We only ordered soft drinks because of the Porsche driving, if you had the time and a designated driver, you could enjoy a couple of drinks from their Bar list.

Everyone enjoyed the lunch and I was pleased to find this place. In all my years of living in Sydney driving down the coast, I hadn't known it existed.

Do make an effort to find this great cafe, I'm sure you will enjoy. It is ideal for a drop in for coffee, lunch or you can hire it for small parties, weddings, birthdays or work functions.
