Many outdoor cinemas pop up around Adelaide each year in the summer months. Normally held over the school holidays, events such as Moonlight Cinema often show classic films from decades past, as well as popular blockbusters of recent years.
However, if you've got kids, Blues Brothers might not seem particularly appropriate, and as classic a film as The Wizard of Oz is, it might not grab their attention as much as, say, an animated penguin, Dr Seuss creation or a singing, dancing muppet.
For a more kid friendly experience in the north east suburbs, check out the City of Tea Tree Gully's Movies @ the Park 2013. Films are shown at Civic Park on Friday nights beginning at 8:30pm and are free to attend. Refreshments are available from 6:30pm, but with Tea Tree Plaza within short walking distance - why not just pop over to Woolworths for some drinks and lollies?
