Anyone for Spotted Dick?
If you're an expat of the British Isles and are seeking some traditional comfort food from the motherland, then the China Plate event at The Boat, Mindarie Marina might be just what the doctor ordered.
The China Plate event is fusing together the best of British pub grub, together with live entertainment from the UK to create an evening of great fun and food. Kids are welcomed and between 5-8pm they can enjoy the kids corner complete with games, crafts and colouring fun.
The menu is inspired from favourite foods from the UK. Look forward to feasting on a starter of traditional scotch eggs or perhaps you've been yearning for some pea and ham hock soup. For a main course, those heralding from the UK's North West might enjoy some hearty Lancashire hotpot, but if that's not for you then the steak and kidney pudding in suet pastry might just tempt you.

Whatever you opt for, make sure you save some room for a tasty dessert with choices from Spotted Dick and Eton Mess - both a lot yummier than they sound.
If you are really missing the UK, then you'll also be happy to know that there's a great competition being run at the event, with a grand prize being 2 return tickets to London. This competition is thanks to 'Hello World, Currambine' and terms and conditions do apply.
Entertainment for the evening is courtesy of the Baby Piranhas with UKWA radio also in attendance.
The China Plate is taking place on Thursday June 18th, from 6pm.
