In the words of JR Tolkien "Not all those who wander are lost". My passion and loves are my family, travel and writing. I'm fortunate to be able to combine all three for an extraordinary life adventure....
Event: -
Taking the words of one young participant: "There needs to be more togetherness in this world", has motivated the Arts Centre Melbourne to empower young children to create their own inspired world.

Children and young people are invited to join this free immersive workshop to support our little people of this world to dream and discover together the important values, laws, and ideologies for their very own 'Children's Republic of Melbourne'.

Who really makes better rules, inspiring politics and leaders of today? Kids or adults?

Be inspired by the future leaders and policy makers as they create their perfect world, completely from a child's perspective.

These workshops are designed to inspire young people to take an active role to help decide the laws of Melbourne's first micro-state, and design its national flag, constitution and coat of arms. What symbols will represent their idea of what a country should be?

On the last day, everyone is invited back to parade their flags and banners through the streets of Melbourne and present the constitution to the public

For a free kids event in the cultural and political heart of Melbourne, see the workshop dates and times below. Bookings required.
