I escaped to Sydney over 11 years ago and haven't looked back since. I enjoy going to cafes, local markets and festivals, and finding the best views in town for free. Visit my twitter page: https://twitter.com/sydneyonabudget
Bringing back the bistro in Burwood
Burwood is getting a new eatery with the grand opening of The Chef's Wife planned for Sunday 11 June. Situated within the Royal Sheaf Hotel on the corner of Liverpool and Burwood Roads, the restaurant will add a fresh culinary experience for the area.
The venture is a spin-off from the food truck Chef Life, established by the food-loving couple Tee and Min. Chef Life has been a regular on the food truck circuit and has served up many a hot dog and burger at the Food Truck Weekends in Wetherill Park and the Aussie Night Markets in Blacktown. The restaurant menu is expected to have a similar offering, fingers crossed for curly fries!

The hotel has been renovated specially for the new bistro. Ample parking makes it an easy stop off from the Hume Highway for commuters travelling between the city and the western suburbs. It will be open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner so you will have no excuse not to visit and try The Chef's Wife's signature ribs!
