A huge family fun day, theatre show, sports workshops and arts and crafts are just some of the highlights of the Chatswood Family Festival on The Concourse this January.

The Chatswood Family Festival on The Concourse is presented by Willoughby City Council. There's a world of fun to be had with many events are free or are low cost.

Check out some of the highlights below:

Enjoy a fun and informative day out for the whole family at the Child and Family Expo on 22 January. Have a ball with entertainment, arts, craft, face painting, rides, a jumping castle and more. Find out what's on offer for children and families in the area from a range of services, clubs and classes exhibiting and browse the child-friendly retail and food stalls.

Could you be Australia's next rugby star? NSW Rugby League unearths new talent with its Try League program on 16 January. Get a taste for the sport with fun activities and games for boys and girls and find out how you can get involved.

Drop into Artspace at The Concourse for an afternoon of fun arts and crafts presented by Globalart from 17 20 January. Enjoy a great range of art activities using different materials, colours, textures and tools then take home your creation.

Premium children's theatre performances include Room on the Broom Live on Stage from 18 23 January and the Willoughby Symphony's Mini Maestros Singalong on 22 January when children can take a journey through the orchestra with hits from musical theatre and film classics.

Go out of this world with spaced themed activities at Chatswood Library all January including a reading club, movies, talks and craft.
