Hello, Hello.

Two little words that would soon be repeated by a nation, and follow with a heck of a lot of jigging.

If I had to think of a band that got me up and moving when I was feeling down, it would be The Cat Empire.

With over 800 shows, over 100 songs, 5 albums and a massive International following under their belt, or should I say collar, The Cat Empire is celebrating 10 great years by going on a venue crawl.

Perth is lucky enough to catch them once again at Fly By Night in Fremantle on Thursday, October 6. I certainly recommend getting in early for tickets here, because no doubt this 10 year celebration is going to be a killer.

The Cat Empire started with the belief of family and friends. After being known around the traps as the life of any party, they financed their first album all on their own, borrowing money from parents and friends. Claiming they would pay the money back in 9 months, they ended up paying it back in 3, and the rest is history.

If you want a small taste of the great things The Cat Empire can do, I would suggest listening to the tracks 'Hello' and 'Days Like These' from their self titled The Cat Empire album.

These songs were my first taste of this uber talented and lively act. The vibrance and energy you'll get out of it just from listening will blow your mind, so just imagine what state you'll be in at the gig.
