How did an atheist end up becoming a Christian? The Case for Christ delves into the surprising answer.

Based on the true story of author Lee Strobel's best-selling book The Case for Christ. Lee's search to expose facts and truth in his career as a journalist flows into a new journey. An encounter with a Christian in a dramatic situation compels Lee's wife to seek answers to some of life's deep questions. Lee is a devoted husband and father of two, but will their marriage survive the ensuing events? Lee embarks on a mission to disprove the existence of God. But what does he find? The story has the power to prompt tears as well as thoughts. Not without humorous moments, though more of tension and revelation.

The book has been faithfully portrayed, highlighting the hard-hitting arguments in Lee's search for facts. Direction by Jon Gunn draws you into each scene. It's deep, real and intelligent. Great American drama. Relationships with colleagues and within the marriage also bring the story to life.

Starring Mike Vogel as Lee Strobel and Erika Christensen as his wife. L. Scott Caldwell plays Alfie Davis, the nurse who propels the Strobels on the road to truth. Fay Dunaway makes a brief but impacting appearance as psychologist Dr Roberta Waters. Robert Forster as Lee Strobel's estranged father. Frankie Faison as Joe Dubois. Film by Pure Flix.
