If you are looking for a novelty dining experience, why not visit The Carriage Café at McLaren Vale? The new management appears to be a lovely couple who are keen to provide friendly service to customers.

We arrived a very few minutes before closing time, which would stress the average proprietors, but they were happy to whip up tea and cappuccino for us and serve scones and biscuits. Other delights include their all-day breakfast menu and one hundred varieties of milkshakes!

The Breakfast Menu includes Pancakes, eggs, bacon and eggs, beef chipolatas, hash browns and grilled tomatoes. Breakfast sandwiches are also available. Extra ingredients can be added from $3.

Light meals and snacks include garlic bread, dipping bread, wedges, hot chips, seeded mustard bread and toasted focaccia. A vegetarian mixed platter of spring rolls, dim sims, samosas and crispy wedges is also available, as well as warm chicken salad and Caesar salad.

Other options include hot dogs and hamburgers. Sweets range from cookies to pancakes and ice-cream.
