Give the kids one last holiday sugar hit in Cockburn
If your kids didn't get enough of a sugar hit over the Christmas period, there are free, sugar-coated activities headed to Cockburn Gateways Shopping City on Monday, January 16th between 11am and 2pm.
The Candy Academy is coming to Perth for the first time for two weeks until Friday, 27th January, including Australia Day. This Willy Wonka style forum will celebrate all things candy, imagination and whimsy as kids are given the opportunity to take part in gingerbread decorating in the craft village and marvel over a giant supply of everlasting gobstoppers set in a huge interactive ball pit.
This family entertainment attraction has enjoyed success in the Eastern states, with Cockburn Gateways management deciding they simply must bring it to Perth. There will be photo opportunities galore, including a magical chocolate boat ride and the chance to stare in wonder at life-sized candy.

Cockburn Gateways' Kid's Club Members who bring their Golden Ticket with them to the Candy Academy each day will receive a free lolly bag. The attraction will be held just outside Big W.
In the spirit of the Candy Academy's visit, the centre will also host a screening of the original 1971 classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on Saturday, 21st January at 7pm on the Piazza. Bring your cushion and settle in for the evening!
The Candy Academy is promising to be one of the most exciting school holiday events in Perth and a great opportunity to give the kids one last sugar hit before school goes back.
