The Calyx is a new world-class location in the Royal Botanic Gardens. With indoor and outdoor locations and grand views from the central arc, the Calyx is home to periodic exhibitions. The unmissable pollination exhibition with its vibrant floral displays is open to the public at the Calyx till the 15th of August.



Curated by the award-winning RBG horticulture team, the exhibition features the grand green wall as the backdrop for a garden of flowering plants showcasing the role colour plays in pollination. At 6 mts by 50 mts, the green feature wall is perhaps one of the largest living walls on display. It is said, no two months or seasons are the same on the hero wall or at the exhibition.





The Calyx also makes for a special high tea venue . The backdrop of the spectacular hero vertical wall and the afternoon tea selection in the middle of the Royal Botanic Gardens makes it a special venue. Priced at $65 per person along with a glass of sparkling wine, the high tea booking are available Friday through to Sunday between 1:30 and 3:30 pm.





On the day of our visit, there was a session on Japanese flower arrangement or Ikebana which we quite enjoyed participating in. Allow up to 30 minutes to enjoy the display at the Calyx and learn about pollination. Finish the visit with a stop at the Calyx cafe to soak in the beautiful surroundings.





The Calyx is free to enter and open daily between 10am and 4pm.
