On my short, yet wild adventure finding the best burger in Adelaide, I stumbled across some of the so called best burgers made here.

My first stop was the Lion Hotel , and its classic favorite "The Lion Burger", along with its deal of a nice ice cold beer (something worth checking out). With its options of vegetarian, chicken or beef, I looked at the menu, only to notice that the ingredients weren't listed on there. Beef was a simple choice, only knowing that the minute it would arrive I hoped I made the right decision.

After waiting a small amount of time, my burger had arrived. Served on a fresh roll along with French fries, this had been plated up well. With one bite, I was in burger heaven. Filled with classic ingredients - tomato, lettuce and cheese - plus amazing additions like bacon, egg and its crazy delicious home-made aioli, this burger makes a great pub meal and will set you back $12.50.

But it's so much more than a burger; it's as if each bite is in love with the ingredients. Like an explosion in your mouth, be ready and brace yourself for this burger.

I wasn't ready to stop here; I had other places to visit. My next adventure had me searching for the Best Burger Joints in northern Adelaide.

My drive through Mawson Lakes had me stop at Hungry Jacks. I was not so keen to check out the competition from McDonalds Angus Burger, to the Angry Angus. I arrived to the express stop, to receive an unfriendly "What do you want?" expression from the girl behind the counter. I ordered the Angry Angus and the other famous burger called the Ultimate Whopper.

While waiting what seemed forever, I noticed other disgruntled customers. I finally receiving both burgers and found a seat outside. Quickly eating through the burger, it wasn't as much as delectable like other "Fancy Burgers" from real restaurants. It's easy to say that the best burger wouldn't be from take away places.

McDonalds offered awesome service and its Grand Angus had me drooling with each bite. Although both places didn't make the cut to my best burger list, I felt it was necessary to mention burgers that are frequently advertised.

The next stop was Burger It . Found on O'Connell St in North Adelaide, this place offers a nice yet simple atmosphere. Hard to find place, it definitely met the grueling challenge I had faced to find all of the perfect burgers. It served up a quality burger, especially along with it house-made relish and all the extras you could possibly want. It was a short stop here, while I didn't have much longer to find the best burger Adelaide could ever serve up for me. This is definitely a place to hit, especially for a quick stop to try out.

The Burger Foundry was my last stop – this place promises North American style burgers. My arrival had quickly offered an American style feel to it- although simple. I was happy to check out this place, not expecting either the best or the worst. I came along with a few friends, with the expectation our night will be filled with fun. They menu offered so many options I couldn't even make up my mind. I took my time looking at choices like The Great Mojo, with its chipotle sauce, the Blue Moon, which I guessed came with blue cheese, and the Texan Madness with jalapenos.

The Texan Madness was definitely one of my favourites. The burger was hand crafted with smoky barbeque sauce and jalapenos and came with hand cut fries. There were also randomly named milkshakes, like Peanut Butter or even Death by Chocolate.

If you're ever in Adelaide, don't hesitate to hit these places if ever wanting to try any burger place. Searching for the best burger in Adelaide was an exciting experience.
