The Bull and Bear Tavern is a welcoming and sociable pub situated in Flinders lane between Elizabeth and Queen Street and is open from 11am till late Monday through to Saturday.
The Tavern has three split levels each with their own great features and draw cards. The street level is dedicated to the Bull and Bear piano bar with classic wood paneling and warm red tones. The piano bar features an extensive wine and beer list and the perfect place to sit with friends or surf the net on the bar's free wifi.
The Downstairs level is devoted to the Bull and Bear's dining room, which can accommodate 130 patrons seated and 200 standing. Functions are welcomed to this venue and room design can take in a seated meal or cocktail style function with a dance floor with packages for all budgets including 'cheap and cheerful finger food' or a three course dining experience at $30 per person. Corporate functions and presentations are also able to be accommodated with privacy partitions.
The basement houses the Tavern bar complete with pool tables, pinball, darts and a jukebox. Wednesday nights highlight a free pool competition at 7pm and a Happy Hour between 5-7pm on Fridays.
Dining at The Bull and Beer showcases classic style pub cuisine with a modern Australian twist. Among the dishes on offer include salt and pepper calamari squid salad, French cut chicken breast in a creamy mushroom sauce, chicken parmigiana, Wagyu beef burgers and chunky steak pie. For those on a limited lunch hour meals can be pre-ordered via fax or email by 11am the day of your visit.
This is a fantastic venue to start your evening for Happy Hour, play a few games of pool or settle yourself in for a meal and drinks with friends.
