Are you a creative writer? Do you have a book you are working on but would like guidance from a professional editor?
Do you like writing for children or young people?
Whatever your story, The Brisbane Writers Workshop can help you.
In my experience, writers spend a lot of time alone but every so often, we need to connect with like-minded people and editors to fan our creative sparks.
Sometimes we need to give ourselves a creative artist's date and that's where The Brisbane Writers Workshop steps in!
The Brisbane Writers Workshop offers courses for novices through to seasoned writers and covers different topics each time. They offer professional guidance in creative writing, writing for children, story structure and memoirs too. Each workshop is set in a beautiful location to inspire your imagination and build your creative muscles. Recently, I attended a workshop held at Harmony Place about 10 minutes from Mitchelton. The gardens were magnificent and the quiet space helped open my creative flow.

I have attended three creative writing workshops with The Brisbane Writers Workshops including:
Introduction to Novel Writing
Seasons and Symbols, and
Writers Who Run with the Wolves
Each time, I gained deeper understanding of the creative writing process and numerous ideas for characters, settings and plot. I shared my prose and received positive and constructive feedback, helping me renew my commitment to writing.
The Brisbane Writers Workshop is run by professional writer and editor, Lauren Daniels, who will inspire you to greater heights. It is so much fun to discuss story with Lauren as she is caring and incredibly passionate about sharing her industry insights to help you achieve your goals.
Lauren's enthusiasm has inspired me to keep going and create worlds to share with my readers. It's wonderful to find a kindred editor who cares about you and where your story is going, but also guides you to the success you seek with your writing goals.
Lauren Daniels has worked in publishing since the early 1990s and edited over 55 books. As a past student, I highly recommend attending her courses if you have a manuscript you would like to take to the next level.
I am excited to share that The Brisbane Writers Workshop is running a new course, Writing for Children & Young People on Sunday, 22 November 2015. The workshop is affordable too!
