A Brisbane enthusiast with a little bit of time on my hands to write about the great experiences I've had in this city.
Be lazy and chill out at a great Suburban Sunday Sesh
The "Sunday Session" has become a real feature of inner city bars and breweries in recent years. This trend is now starting to find its way to the outer Brisbane suburbs, where small breweries are starting to add food and live music as elements to complement their regular beers on tap.
Beers on tap, grilled sausages and live music at The Brewing Hub
The Brewing Hub is the latest microbrewery to latch on to this trend, with their first Chill Out Sunday Session scheduled for this Sunday, 15 November 2015.
In typical Brewing Hub style, they're putting on a great event at the brewery with Brisbane guitar legend, Mick Melit, to provide the entertainment. Mick has played alongside some of the best in the business, including Phil Emmanuel and Joe Camilleri.
The Sausage Shack will be on site, selling their mouth-watering foot-long German bratwursts. If their recent appearance at the Hub's Beerfest is any indication, they'll sell like hotcakes - or hot grilled sausages! There will be four traditional German wursts in crusty rolls available again, so something to please everyone. It has even been rumoured these grilled sausages are so good, they have turned vegans into meat lovers.
To round out the offering, the team at The Brewing Hub will be launching their new, unnamed, Summer Ale. With some stellar new beers coming out of the brewery recently, I am looking forward to getting into a schooner of their latest seasonal offering. The Brewing Hub is also seeking volunteers to take part in a trial comparing bottle versus force-carbonation.
The Chill Out Sunday Session will be on from 12 noon to 5pm this Sunday 15th November. It's a family-friendly event and no doubt will make a nice addition to the growing Brisbane Sunday arvo scene.
