The 70-covers venue has 3 sections including the Bar area which features high wooden tables and metal stools, a dining space with a modern fireplace feature and a row of 80's diner inspired retro booth seating with views of the botanic gardens.
All 3 areas make the restaurant an excellent place to for locals and visiting executives to hangout with mates after a day at the office or farm, families to have a quality meal in a comfortable and stylish environment, and a private party or event. It was definitely humming when the alpaca breeders and classic car owners were in town.
I had daily brekkie organised by owner Lyn Hayes during my stay and they've turn out to be generously portioned, tasty and better than the ones I had around Queen Victoria Market. Although coffee wasn't a Market Lane, the latte and cappuccino was proper.
By the flow of residents coming in after me, I'm can safely assume that the brekkie is a local hit. With the other option being the manufactured food of Maccas at 7.30am, I choose the Botanical Dining and Bar anytime. It's an excellent place to bulk up and wind down during visits around Hamilton and the Southern Grampians.
