Discover how to take your business to the next level in 2019

In business, and in life, it's often when we step outside our comfort zone that wondrous things happen - but being bold and brave doesn't always come naturally.

WEA South Australia has invited four inspirational women to talk about the bold and brave decisions they have taken to propel their business to the next level. Hear firsthand about the strategies they used to grow their brand and take away their personal tips and tricks for achieving business success.

Each event also offers the opportunity to network in a relaxed and social environment.

The first speaker in the series is Lowen Partridge of Peartree Brand Strategy. As a brand strategist and a family business advisor, Lowen is an expert in advising others. In her 20 years of building her own business and brand, she has made some brave choices about what she's trying to achieve and how she's going to achieve it. Lowen facilitates a brand identity process that enables clients to achieve absolute clarity on how they differentiate from their competitors and what they want their reputation to be. Lowen will speak about her own business journey, outline the strategies she used to grow her brand, and offer practical tips and advice for someone wanting to develop their own business and personal brands.

The second speaker in the series is Louise Nobes of Kik Innovation. With a background in social work, Louise dreamed of building a business which would achieve both social impact and commercial success. She has accomplished this by making bold strategic decisions and taking decisive action to achieve growth. With Kik Coffee, Kik and The Chocolate Factory and now Kik Cleaning, Louise has realised her dream to work with disadvantaged young people and inspire them to create their own solutions out of poverty. Louise will speak about her own business journey and the challenges of balancing the commercial and social aspects of her businesses and offer practical tips and advice for someone wanting to start or grow their own social enterprise.

The third speaker in the series is Sheree Sullivan of Udder Delights. With a journey that has included milking goats in the family business, teaching herself the art of cheesemaking, and negotiating a multi-million-dollar investment in the business by a Japanese dairy giant, Sheree has proven herself to be both bold and brave. Udder Delights is an award-winning South Australian business known for its handmade artisan products, lovingly created at its cheese factory in Lobethal in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Sheree will speak about her own business journey, the strategies she used to grow her business, and offer practical tips and advice for someone wanting to grow their own business.

The fourth and final speaker in the series is Tammy Edwards of Tuckfield Conveyancing and Tammy's Table. At the age of 30, Tammy set herself a bold objective: to build a thriving business that wasn't dependent on her working a 60-hour week for its long-term success. She has achieved her vision by setting long term goals and taking purposeful steps towards them. These days Tuckfield Conveyancing is flourishing and Tammy spends her spare time mentoring other small business owners through her Tammy's Table community. Tammy will speak about her own business journey, the strategies she used to build and grow a self-sustaining business, and offer practical tips and advice for someone wanting to set up their own self-sustaining business.
