It's all about simple, unpretentious food, using quality fresh ingredients that the Central Markets are known for. Eggs of course feature on the menu, there's the big breakfast, green eggs and ham, or just some simple scrambled eggs. The big breakfast also comes in a half size, which is a real plus for people who like the variety of a big breakfast but aren't so fond of the size or the cost.
It can be tricky to get a seat, as both the tables and counter seating fill up quickly, and so at times you might have to wait around for a while. The counter top seating is not the most comfortable place to eat breakfast, it's quite pokey, and there's not much space if you're carrying a bag or two.
Time isn't wasted on fancy presentation, you won't have your bacon and eggs piled high like a sculpture, and plenty of the menu items have that 'I could have made this at home' look to them. But it's the taste that you go for, the food is fresh and full of flavour, and there isn't much that can beat grabbing a bit to eat in the Central Markets.
Because of the seating arrangements, it doesn't feel like the type of place you'd sit around over brunch and a coffee while time just passes by, instead it's all a bit more fast paced - just like the market that surrounds it.
