Children and parents alike will take responsibility for what they put in their mouth and learn to taste food with their tongue, not their eyes. Reading packet labels is so important for those hidden nasties, so learn how, along with why your body needs a rainbow of fruit and vegetables and why real food is always a better alternative.
Be inspired to learn more, as the adage 'what you eat is who you are', holds very true. It affects concentration, behaviour and more. Teach your children now and they will be armed with a lifetime of information that'll set them up to grow and develop into healthy adults.
That Sugar Film with cameos from Stephen Fry, Isabel Lucas and more, follow Damon Gameau as he embarks on a unique experiment to document the effects of a high sugar diet on a healthy body. It could change the way you think about healthy food.
The workshops on the Sunday will have Bel Smith of The Root Cause teaching your kids how to pack healthy lunchboxes. Each child at the workshop will receive a complimentary bento-style lunchbox filled with healthy deliciousness to take with them. A little lunchbox cheat sheet in the giveaway will help them pack their own lunchbox each day. Remember numbers are limited to 30.
The bootcamp for parents goes kick-arse and in-depth in time management. Learn how to do a weekly prep, make tasty snacks and meals from scratch and pack healthy lunch boxes in just 5 minutes a day. It'll teach you how to deal with fussy eaters, how to overcome lunchbox stress and what to do if you're short on time and more. Again, this event is limited to 50 participants, so start booking if you don't want to miss out on those cooking demonstrations we all love.
With events ranging from $5 to $25, it's as cheap as chips; erm..make that vegetables!
