FREE brekkie c/o Foodbank Victoria in Fed Square
Most of us know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that need is even greater for children's growing bodies.

Unfortunately, it is believed that 1 out of 7 children miss out on breakfast each day, and thousands start their school day with an empty tummy.

To raise awareness of the benefits associated with providing a breakfast to school aged kids, Foodbank Victoria will be offering a FREE healthy breakfast to commuters and passers-by in the heart of Melbourne.

Foodbank Victoria, an independent not-for-profit organisation, distributes food to people in need across the state. Due to the rise in utility bills year-on-year, Foodbank Victoria has seen a substantial rise in the demand for support provided by the organisation. It is said that 1-in-9 families rely on the assistance of Foodbank Victoria, and without that help, will go to school or work, hungry.

It only costs $5 to feed a child breakfast for a week through Foodbank, therefore every donated dollar you give, can make a difference. Foodbank Victoria has provided 3,022,204 meals so far, and will continue to support families that require food assistance.

Meet the Foodbank Victoria crew in Federation Square between 7am and 9am on 28 May, 2015 and grab yourself an early morning feed.
