A fun way to learn about bowel cancer and prevention
Few readers may be aware that bowel cancer is one of most common cancers and is the second biggest cancer killer in Australia. In fact, 15,000 Australians are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year and 80 Australians die from bowel cancer each week. Fortunately bowel cancer can be treated successfully in 90% of cases when detected early.
To raise much-needed awareness and funds for bowel cancer, Bowel Cancer Australia has created a massive 7m long and 2.4m high walk-through inflatable Big Bowel exhibition in Fed Square, entitled 'The Big Bowel Tour'.
Take this opportunity to learn more about some of the pathologies that may be found inside the human colon, tips on cancer prevention and support Bowel Cancer Australia, the leading community-funded charity dedicated to prevention, early diagnosis, research, quality treatment and the best care for everyone affected by bowel cancer.
