So you want to escape the daily grind and get away for a day or a weekend? If you like driving, then these are the escapes for you!

Destination: South Park
Time: Approx. 4 hour round trip including lunch

1. Leaving from Sydney, join the Eastern Distributor heading south towards Airport/Canberra

2. Flanking the airport, continue straight taking Metroad 1 towards Rockdale/Wollongong

3. Metroad 1 turns into General Holmes Drive

4. Continue straight down The Grand Parade through Brighton Le-Sands

5. Turn right onto President Ave/A1

6. Turn left onto Princes Highway/Metroad 1/Wollongong

7. Turn left to stay on Princes Highway

8. Continue through on M1 towards Wollongong

9. Slight left onto Farnell Avenue into the Royal National Park

10. Continue straight, Farnell Avenue turns into Audley Road

11. Slight right onto Sir Bertram Stevens Drive

12. Continue straight onto Lady Wakehurst Drive

13. Continue straight onto Otford Road

14. Turn left onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive

The Scarborough Hotel is a destination for any driving or motorcycle enthusiast. Situated on a cliff overlooking the ocean, it's a prime destination to relax with great food and a cold beverage.

The name Scarborough means Fort on the Rock and this fort is open for Breakfast daily between 9am - 11am, Lunch Mon - Fri 11am - 3pm and Sat - Sun from 11am - 4pm.

The venue's multiple rooms and grounds can be hired out for private functions and the hotel is only one of a few places in/around Sydney that is Pet Friendly

Once you've had enough sun, the journey back can be split into two options:

Option 1
Retrace your steps back through the Royal National Park and into Sydney for more driving fun!

Option 2
If you've had enough for one day, head back towards the Royal National Park on Lawrence Hargrave Drive

15. Head back towards Sydney on Lawrence Hargrave Drive

16. Turn left to stay on Lawrence Hargrave Drive

17. At the roundabout take the first exit onto the Princes Highway heading towards Sydney.

18. Take the National Route 1 / Freeway ramp to Sydney

19. Merge onto the M1

20. Contine onto the Princes Highway

21. Turn right to stay on the Princes Highway - Metroad 1/Sydney/Airport

22. Turn right onto President Avenue

23. Turn left onto The Grand Parade towards Sydney/Airport

24. Continue through to Sydney
