Little Kitty, Big City is a sand box adventure game about a little cat who gets lost in a busy Japanese city and has to find their way home again. I found this game to be utterly charming. I really enjoyed controlling the cat. I think that fans of Untitled Goose Game (2019) will really like this game. You can interact with the environment in a number of different ways that a typical cat would. You can climb walls, attack birds, steal things, doze in the sunlight, and jump into trash cans and boxes. As you explore the city you will be able to interact with other animals, complete quests, and purchase hats for your cat to wear. The animations in this game were so adorable. The cat shakes its butt when it jumps into things and stretches its back and purrs happily when it finds a patch of sunlight to doze in. My favourite moment in this game was when I explored a laundromat. The cat stopped and stared at a washing machine and moved its head in a circle as it watched the clothes tumble round and round. It was so cute!

I adored the soundtrack and relaxing vibe and thought the pixelated graphics were charming.

The goal of the game is to drop fuzzy little cats on top of each other to make combos and score the most points possible before you run out of space. What makes this game different is the bomb cat mechanic. A bomb cat is a large black angry cat that can explode if it touches a flamey cat. If a bomb cat goes off it can send all of the cats jumping around inside the box. If one of the cats pops out the top, you lose. This game is a lot of fun.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a social simulation game which followers a villager who moves to a deserted island after purchasing a getaway package from Tom Nook. After the player arrives on the island, Tom Nook gives them a tent, tools to gather resources, and teaches them how to craft furniture and other items through D.I.Y crafting. The player is then tasked with customizing and developing the island and earning a five-star rating. At the start of the game the player moves to the island with two random animal villagers. As the game progresses, more animal villagers will move to the island. There are over thirty different cat villagers available in the game to choose from each with a different name and personality type. The player can purchase “Nook miles” tickets to visit other islands to search for other villagers to invite back to their island to move in. Cat villagers are pretty popular in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There are a lot of examples online where people have made Animal Crossing islands with all cat villagers.

Minami Lane is a wholesome management game set in a Japanese city where you are tasked with creating and managing your own street. You can build houses, parks, ramen noodle shops, karaoke bars, bookshops, florists, traditional Japanese onsens, and more. It is a short game that takes between 2-4 hours to finish and includes 5 missions to complete with simple objectives. A fun challenge in the game is to try and attract stray cats to the street by selling Taiyaki (fish), building a florist, and upgrading buildings to be more beautiful. When cats appear on the street you can pet them on the head which will score you more cash to spend on upgrades. I have only been playing this game for a while and I already love it. It's so much fun.

Super Mario 3D World is a 3D platform game that was released in 2013 on the Wii U and then re-released in 2021 on Nintendo Switch as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Super Mario 3D World is one of my favourite Super Mario games because it introduced Cat Mario. Cat Mario is a power up that Mario can achieve when he touches the Super Bell. Cat Mario is one of my favourite Mario power-ups. Cat Mario can run up walls, trees and goal poles, scratch enemies with his claws, dive bomb, and move at a sprint. He is also adorable as heck!
