I'm a freelance writer living in Adelaide. A huge passion of mine is visiting different places and exploring what they have to offer. I love capturing my findings in writing :)

We all want to be a kid again right? At least for a day
We all know that Adelaide does'nt have Movieworld, Dreamworld or Seaworld, but how about 'The Beachouse'? It may not compare to the above, but to Adelaide it really is the next best thing, only if you make the most of it.
It is located at Colley Terrace on the foreshore of Glenelg Beach. It is the perfect location for a day at the beach and some family fun.
This centre is stylish and modern and boy, is it loaded with updated fun. It is just the place to come and spend your time at if you are after a day full of activities, not just for your kids but for yourself too.
How much you spend is up to you. Entry is free and all you have to do is purchase a 'fun card' at $2 and put as much or as little credit on it as you like depending on how many activities you intend on playing. It's that simple.
There is so much more to this place than just the latest arcade games.
There are rides, dodgem cars, the famous historic carousel, a play castle which has loads of activities for the little ones and offers face painting.
The waterslides - never mind that it is winter, as the water is heated. The spectacular 18 hole mini golf course and of course, the little train that does rounds around the course. Hands down to the people who designed this course as it really has some sensational sites to see, and lastly 'The bumper Boats'. They are a must, but a warning, be careful who you go on them with as they come with their own water cannons so you quite possibly will get wet.
I'm not sure if you could manage all of the activities in one day as it could get quite exhausting and possibly quite costly, although I would have to recommend that you come back, as one day is not enough in this kids' paradise.
If your appetite gets the better of you, take a break at the Beachouse Cafe. Enjoy a coffee, grab yourself some lunch and if your kids like 'kids food', there is plenty of it to order from.
Of course on your way out don't forget to go past the 'Ferris Wheel'. It is re-vamped, bright and colourful. It looks amazing lit up at night too.
