The Beach Shack is situated smack bang right across the road from Currumbin Beach. The Verdict: hands down one of the highlights of my café going career on the Gold Coast.

This place has some seriously chilled out beach vibes with really friendly and efficient service. As soon as we walked in the door all the staff were super hospitable - the way it should be. We sat upstairs on the balcony for restaurant style table service where you can see beautiful views of Currumbin Beach. It was lovely. They didn't mind that we only ordered drinks.
We could feel the ocean breeze and buzzing atmosphere around us. It wasn't that long after we ordered that we were sipping on decent iced coffee that was more about coffee than water and ice. You know they know their stuff when they put actual ice cream in your iced coffee and you actually taste the coffee. I also had one of the best piccolos I've had in awhile. The Beach Shack has really raised the coffee flavoured bar in my life significantly.

The Beach Shack has a casual café down stairs and a relaxed restaurant upstairs so prices change accordingly and in a way you are paying for the view if you want to eat upstairs. They do have lunch specials everyday though. The day I visited they had a veggie stack that looked delicious. I definitely want to go back to try out some of their food and have more and more of their delectable coffee.
