For my first trip to Mt Tamborine, I didn't really know what to expect. On the drive up we stopped at one look out and I nearly got swept away with the beauty (literally, it was very windy).

I noticed wonderful retreats and cottages on top of the mountain, which encourages me to save up for a relaxing weekend away and the mere thought of waking up to that view, makes me want to turn myself into a mental camera and save the images for a boring day. Once we arrived at , It was like we stepped into Germany, from the building and interior to the outfits the staff wear.

I've never traveled anywhere outside of Australia, so this was really overwhelming and exciting for me, (how pathetic). We sat down and checked the menu out. The menu was a little pricey, with main meals costing between $20 to $40. I looked at it like this, it wasn't just about the food, it was an experience aswel. My favorite part was trying the different imported German beers and the traditional German drinking music.

If I hadn't been with my family, things might have gotten out of hand. I ordered the Bavarian beef Pie for $24.50 and it was worth every cent. The beef was perfection and the combination of spices was heavenly. Sitting near a window over-looking a tiny lake, I couldn't have been more content. After having such a wonderful time, I am inspired to get some friends together and go on a Group tour to Tamborine & Wineries .

I suggest visiting as your next adventure.
