Don't be envious, come and try the penthouse for yourself
What's Noosa's best kept secret this week?

I'd have to say today the best kept secret in Noosa is the Noosa Blue Resort and their new entertainment and live music venue, 'The Basement' opening up to all next Thursday August 21.

Finding Noosa Blue on Noosa Hill

'The Basement' is exactly that, a great room set so that even with a full house every guest will be within metres of the stage, up close and personal to everything that happens.

Though it won't matter how close you are next week, you'll still not work out the amazing illusions and magic of the ILLUSIONS Magic Show starring Australia's 2013 Entertainer of the Year Matt Hollywood.

His amazing tricks and mid air vanishes and appearances will have you in wonder, and his hilarious brand of comedy, tricks and stunts will have you on the edge of your seat.

Even a rainy morning is beautiful viewing from the penthouse at Noosa Blue

I was incredibly fortunate to get a preview of The Basement and a sample of Noosa Blue hospitality overnight, and I can tell you this local boutique style resort has a slightly international flavour, a great team who look after you as if you are a member of the family if you want to socialise, though will give you as much space as you need if you are after a little time for two, romancing the love of your life.

Master Chef Kirk delivered breakfast personally...the lightest omelette wrapped over sauteed mushroom and ham, accompanied by avocado and smoked salmon....yes, I wanted all the trimmings today!

The suites are delightful, though you really must try one of the penthouses for the full experience. I couldn't resist, and would highly recommend a little pamper time in a penthouse, impress your partner, the best news is it won't break the bank, though you'll win a heart for sure.

The view from my rooftop is spectacular over water and hinterland, even with a drizzle of rain I can see for miles, and I can just imagine sipping a champagne in the spa, in fact that's a plan for later in the day, with a good friend.

Still on decadent delights, as I love, master chef Kirk has just arrived in the kitchen at Noosa Blue, and if my breakfast was anything to go my next meal will be tantalising I am sure, though I'm still sipping on my 'Papa Bear' coffee for now.

This evening I'll have to try the Cocktail session, are you envious yet?

Lots might know the Noosa Blue Resort, it's been around for years, and like so many boutique resorts has had its good times and others, though right now they are lifting the bar and its great to see.

The Basement already has gigs booked, starting with the renowned Illusions Magic Show for opening night on Thursday August 21, and live music monthly.

Another popular entertainer you'll see at The Basement from time to time is the stylish sophisticated Robyn Brown, with smooth jazz and soulful blues.

The resort is also supporting community and charity events which will be great for the local community, starting with a BreasteverBrunch on Sunday September 14.

I'd write more, though I need think about whether I'll do a work out in the gym, or explore Hastings Street with all its eateries and shops to tempt me.

I'll let you know more about secret places very soon, though I may even need to let you know more about Noosa Blue too!
