Sharing my love for Melbourne, the best city in the world.

Bypass the Aylesbury restaurant and take an elevator up to the rooftop where an urban oasis awaits.
Your experience begins as soon as the elevator doors prop open and you immediately set eyes on the sleek bar peeking out from behind the drapes, beckoning you in for a drink. How could one refuse?
Although not as alternative as the Rooftop Bar on Curtin House, not as kitsch as Madame Brussels and not as ornate as The Emerald Peacock, the Aylesbury rooftop attracts a diverse crowd filled with fashionistas and hipsters alike. The rooftop is considerably smaller than its predecessors but boasts an equally impressive view of the Melbourne skyline and is less hectic than other rooftop bars, which can be advantageous on a busy Friday night.
The first Sunday of every month sees the rooftop host the One Night in the Borough, where live DJs spin tunes while patrons sip on cocktails and feast on paella. Less of a party destination and more of a haven, it's a perfect locale for winding down and enjoying simple pleasures and you get the feeling that the Aylesbury rooftop is indeed an oasis for some.
