Banksy is an anonymous and extraordinary street artist famous for politically charged, satirical and socially relevant artworks. The works are both provocative and thought-provoking in the way they address themes of inequality, war, surveillance, consumerism, sustainability and power.



After successful exhibitions in Europe, the United States, South America and Asia, The Art of Banksy: 'Without Limits' exhibition is now on in Sydney. The exhibition is a stunning display of street art and curates over 160 of Banksy's artworks, including originals created especially for the Sydney gallery.



Banksy's artworks are diverse, distinctive and a unique take on contemporary issues, using satire and humour in juxtaposition of the subject matter. Even if you've never heard of Banksy, you'll have encountered some of the artworks which have gained international exposure and notoriety for their astute observations on politics and society.



In addition to the artworks displayed around the gallery, the exhibition features an Infinity Room where you can immerse yourself in artworks through an infinite room full of mirrors and Dismaland which is a simulation of Banksy's largest art installation of a gritty pop-up amusement park.



Murals created in war-torn Ukraine accompanied by video and audio of local Ukrainians provide a confronting insight into the conflict. A different style of artwork can be seen with the Louis Michel room which is inspired by the French Navy ship that Banksy decorated, and The Walled Off Hotel installation which recreates a room of the hotel built amongst the ruins of Palestine.



The exhibition is a remarkable observational commentary on modern life and the excesses of people and things through the lens of a talented and tapped-in artist.
