In April 2023, the Willunga National Trust established a new Art Gallery in the heritage-listed Waverley Park Homestead in Willunga. The homestead was first owned by Thomas Smith Kell in the 1840s and later by the Aldam and Allen families. It is located near the entrance to the Willunga Golf Course on St Peters Terrace between Wirra Creek and Taylors Hill Creek, overlooking a picturesque setting of magnificent River Red gums.

This new initiative provides public access to a building that had been vacant for 7 years. Waverley Park Homestead is owned by the City of Onkaparinga and managed by the Willunga National Trust. It is an exhibition-only (not-for-sale venue) Art Gallery and the exhibitions are curated by a team of volunteers from the Willunga National Trust.

Currently, two exhibitions showcase beauty around this district, in the form of paintings of local places, cultural landscapes and buildings. Come and visit the art gallery and enjoy the art presented by local artists. Art Gallery will be open from 1 pm to 4 pm. For more information, please email at email address [email protected] or ring telephone number (08) 8556 2195.
