is now open at the National Design Centre until May 25th 2017. The exhibition is held in collaboration with
Voilah! French Festival Singapore and
Ubisoft Singapore , in partnership with
DesignSingapore Council and designed by Wy-to architects.
This year
Assassin's Creed celebrates its 10th anniversary. The saga is the best selling game, with more than 100 millions sold since its launch in 2007. It was also made into an action adventure movie in 2016.
The exhibition begins with the history of
Ubisoft , the leading creator, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and services famous for world-renowned games was established in 1986.
Visitors have the opportunity to learn more about how its team worked through the artistic process and research, and experience a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the saga franchise. Two hundred and fifty artworks by artists from various studios across the globe are shown in this exhibition ranging from sketches, drawings, digital paintings, to sound design demo videos.
A special focus is on Ubisoft Singapore as the team had worked on the 2013
Black Flag game, which is set in the Carribbean. The Singapore-based office and studio, which was established in July 2008, has been involved in the
Assassin's Creed franchise from the second installment until now. Fans can also view videos of these processes and interviews with the dedicated creative minds behind the saga.
Visitors can browse the paintings of pirate ship scenes from Ubisoft Singapore-based artists Yong Jin Teo and Kobe Sek Yong Kai. The team researched historical ship sizes quite extensively in order to present the saga's vessels closer to reality. Besides portraits of selected characters from the game, there is also a special section featuring different types of weapons.
Take an opportunity to take home mementos by snapping a photo with a life-sized statue of Connor Kenway, the saga's main character.
Exclusive workshops will be held throughout the duration of the exhibition at the
National Design Centre , where art directors, designers and producers from Ubisoft Singapore will share more about their works and passions.
This exhibition is suitable for adults and kids. If you are a game lover, you won't want to miss it.
